The Mayo Clinic Department of Immunology is seeking applications from outstanding basic science or translational investigators.


The ideal candidate will be a laboratory-based investigator whose research program and interests innovatively impact the field of cancer immunotherapy. Specific areas of interest include innate and adaptive immunity to cancer, and cancer immunotherapy (checkpoint blockade, vaccine or T cell transfer).

Candidates holding a doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or MD) at all levels of academic rank will be considered for this faculty position. Junior investigators should have a strong publication record and evidence of successful competition for external funding is preferred. Senior candidates must have a strong publication record and history of NIH- or equivalent extramural funding. The selected individual is expected to develop and/ or maintain a nationally and internationally recognized extramurally funded research program. Collaborative and translational opportunities are available and strongly encouraged, such as participation in NCI Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPORE) grants, integrating all three Mayo sites (AZ, MN, and FL).
