The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Surgical Pathology and have at least 3 years of experience in the field of Surgical Pathology with a focus in Gastrointestinal Tract Pathology.

Responsibilities include sign out of Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology and frozen section coverage at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Participation in a broad spectrum of intra and inter departmental teaching activities including pathology house-staff and fellows, and medical student teaching is expected. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (and/or AP/CP) from the American Board of Pathology and an unrestricted PA medical license/eligibility are requisites.

While some evidence of scholarship is necessary, research is not essential in the AC track.

Rank will be commensurate with experience.
