Postdoctoral Associate Position in HIV research, NYU College of Dentistry

New York, NY

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in in the laboratory of Dr. David N. Levy at the New York University College of Dentistry. The primary focus is the epigenetic regulation of HIV-1 gene expression and the contribution of both cellular and viral factors to the decision between productive infection and latency. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in virology, molecular biology and/or immunology. Candidates should have significant research experience in standard immunology and molecular biology techniques including but not limited to flow cytometry, qPCR, molecular cloning and human tissue processing. Candidates will be evaluated based on publication record and accomplishments in their field of expertise. The position is designed for a candidate strongly motivated to develop an independent career in research. Excellent communication skills required.
