Postdoctoral Research Associate
Postdoctoral Research Associate. A postdoctoral position is available immediately to pursue research designed to understand the structure, synthesis, function and regulation of the bacterial cell wall and the enzymes that create and modify it. We especially want to know how the metabolic needs of cell wall synthesis and cell division are balanced with competing pathways. Special emphasis will be placed on how substrate availability affects the function of the morphological regulators FtsZ and MreB. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in the microbiological, biochemical or chemical sciences, and experience in techniques of molecular and microbial genetics. To apply, send curriculum vita, names of three references, and a personal statement of background and interests to Kevin D.
