Postdoctoral Researcher - Toronto Canada
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with experience in functional and molecular biology to join a team (Professors P. McCourt/ S. Lumba) based at the University of Toronto investigating perception of the hormone strigolactone in the parasitic plant Striga hermonthica (Science 350, 203 (2015); Science 349, 864 (2015)). We are particularly interested in applicants with a strong background in biochemistry and/or genomics.
Candidates are required to:
- Have a Ph.D. degree in a model genetic system, not necessarily plants.
- Publications in internationally recognized journals.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Salary ($37-42,000 CAN) is dependent on experience and will be established according to institutional guidelines, positions will be renewed annually.
