This team is dedicated to investigate mechanisms of autoimmune diseases and to discover and validate novel targets of interest leading to the generation and development of biotherapeutics. The focus of the studies is to incorporate unique reagents developed by the protein engineering team to develop innovative and effective strategies by which different antibodies modulate the immune system to induce tolerance (i.e. induction of Tregs, induction of exhaustion, etc). You would be part of a growing community of post-doctoral fellows at Eli Lilly in the various US and global sites who have the opportunity to do great fundamental research but also to experience the process of drug discovery research.

Key objectives/deliverables:
  • We are looking for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with expertise in Immunology. You should have experience with in vitro cell biology and in vivo rodent immunobiology model documented in high-quality publications. You should be able to integrate these techniques with novel technologies in the discovery of new biology related to autoimmune diseases.
  • You will be expected to plan independently and execute experiments, develop methods and assays, record and interpret data, and succinctly communicate results in oral and written form.
  • You will also be expected to integrate into a multidisciplinary team effort consisting of scientists with expertise in immunology, formulation development, protein biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, quantitative mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, chromatography, and statistics.
