Postdoctoral Fellowship | SUMO Modification and Cancer Therapy

PositionSummary and Key Responsibilities

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available to work in the areas of targeting the major human oncogenes or anti-tumor immunity in the laboratory ofDr. Yuan Chen at the Beckman Research Institute of the City of Hope ( Chen's laboratoryuses a trans-disciplinary approach including structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, mouse models and analysis of patient specimen. The trans-disciplinary environment in Dr. Chen's laboratory and the Beckman Research Institute of the City of Hope offers ample opportunity to gain expertise in areas outside of the candidate's previous areas of training. We seek candidates who havedemonstrated productivity and problem solving, and areself-motivated and career-oriented.

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:

  • Ph.D. degree.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong a background in one or more of the following areas: X-ray crystallography, biochemistry, molecular biology, and mouse models of cancer or immune response.
