Term Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Genomics

The Department of Genetics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a term tenure track faculty candidate with enthusiasm for collaborative research at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.  Appointees will be expected to develop independent and collaborative grant-funded research program, and will join a collegial department with existing strengths in cancer genetics, genomics, developmental biology and DNA repair. We offer a generous recruitment package, state-of-the art facilities, competitive graduate and post-doctoral training programs, and the unparalleled research environment of MD Anderson, currently the nation’s top ranked cancer center, and the surrounding Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest biomedical center.  Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.

Genomics/Cancer Genomics

An Assistant or Associate Professor is available for a talented individual in the field of genomics or cancer genomics.  The ideal candidate will be driven by biological questions in genomics that are relevant to human diseases such as cancer.  The candidate should have a background in genomics and quantitative biology, and should be familiar with a variety of experiment methods that she/he can use to address major questions in the field.  This person should have a track-record of high-impact publications and should be able to demonstrate that they have led independent research projects that can be used to establish a research program and apply for successful extramural funding.
