The Department of Experimental Therapeutics within the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope invites applications from qualified individuals for a Professor Series faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in cancer immunotherapeutics, including, but not limited to, vaccine or oncolytic vector research, vaccine immunology, and cancer cell/stem cell immunology. Applicants with proven accomplishments in immunotherapeutics including a strong record of publications in high impact journals or with an emphasis leading to clinical product development are encouraged to apply. Applicants are expected to develop an internationally recognized extramurally-funded translational research program. The department has a proven record of product development and has several vaccine candidates in clinical trials which can help accelerate promising strategies.

Laboratory and office space will be located in the same building dedicated to the department and commensurate with rank and funding. Candidates at the assistant professor level will have a strong record of scholarly activity and peer-reviewed publications and demonstrated success writing for extramural grants (e.g., K-awards, R21 or equivalent). Candidates at the Associate Professor level will have an internationally recognized research program, a proven track record of extramural funding (R01 series) over an extended period (minimum 5 years) and experience managing a funded laboratory. A competitive start-up package including faculty salary and research support will be provided and commensurate with experience.
