Research Assistant Professor

The Center for Molecular and Translational is seeking to fill up to 4 new non tenure track faculty positions at the Research Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities include supervising and providing specialized technical assistance to the laboratory personnel, performing research experiments, and assisting in the writing and submission of research grants to extramural funding agencies. Qualified individuals must have a Ph.D degree or equivalent in Cell Biology, Biochemistry or a related field, have more than five years of post-doctoral training and research experience, and have a broad background in the area of cardiovascular science, metabolism, and cell signaling. Applicants should possess the expertise for a wide variety of histological methodologies including single/double/triple immunohistochemistry, small animal surgery techniques. Candidates with strong molecular and cell biology training are a plus. The successful candidates are also expected to establish an independent research program.
