Our Clinical Engineering Dept. has 1 full-time Program Manager – Research Specimens opening for professionals passionate about serving Veterans and about research specimen management for the largest biobank in the world. You will enjoy working to develop pathways for new specimen collection and manage existing specimen collection and transport processes with a strong collegial, friendly, and talented team managing recruitment and enrollment.

Our healthcare system consists of three medical center campuses, and the position is located in Jamaica Plain with quick access to the heart of the city. Work within the VA

Boston Healthcare System will provide an immense sense of personal and professional satisfaction by fulfilling the Medical Center's mission to serve our Nation’s Veterans.

Candidate must have a Bachelors degree in public health or related degree and 5 years or more of work in research project management experience. You must have an excellent understanding of research, research infrastructure and specimen collection, transport, storage, and testing for a range of specimens (i.e., saliva, blood, hair, urine, etc.). Proven experience working with biorepositories and central laboratories and proven understanding of the following subjects:  databases, forms technology, electronic data capture, reporting, data workflow, alerts, performance indicators, Sharepoint, Infopath, Microsoft Office.
