Postdoctoral Position in Neuroscience

An NIH funded position for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience is available immediately in the lab of Dr. Bernhard Luscher, Professor, Department of Biology, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, USA.   The aim of this project is to elucidate molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying Major Depressive Disorder and antidepressant drug action, using genetically engineered mouse models.  The successful applicant will have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related field, with published evidence of expertise in slice electrophysiology and other relevant techniques (molecular biology, biochemistry, histochemistry, microscopy, behavioral analyses).  The position is funded initially for two years and may be extended further, depending on progress.  A complete application will include a cover letter briefly describing your experience and how it relates to this position, CV, and contact information for three references.  Penn State requires all applicants to register and complete the application form at the Penn State employment.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is found.  For further information please contact Dr. Luscher at BXL25@psu.edu or 814-865-5549.  Apply online at https://psu.jobs/job/76958
