The Bioinformatics Shared Resource at the University of Arizona Cancer Center seeks two (2) Bioinformatics Analysts to join our team and apply computational techniques to rapidly accelerate the pace of cancer research. The successful candidate(s) will provide bioinformatics analysis and genomic research consultation to research scientists in the collection, management, interpretation, and analysis of biological data, with a focus on, but not limited to, high-throughput technologies and next-generation sequencing. The main responsibility of this position is in the application of state-of-the-art bioinformatics technology to analyze and integrate large-scale multi-‘omic datasets in a collaborative setting.
Successful candidates will have an MS in bioinformatics, computer science and/or life sciences, and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, along with excellent communication and programming skills (e.g. R, Python, Java, or C++).
