The Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics seeks outstanding candidates for tenure-track positions at any rank. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a robust hypothesis-driven research program focused at the molecular, biochemical, or cell biological level. We are particularly interested in individuals whose research interests and expertise will complement the existing research in our department such as membrane protein biophysics and physiology, membrane trafficking, signal transduction, and neurobiology. We are also interested in individuals who have research interests that align with one or more of the major Centers in the Carver College of Medicine such as the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, Iowa Neuroscience Institute, Francois M. Abboud Cardiovascular Research Center, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center.
