The School of Chinese Medicine aims to modernize Traditional Chinese medicine by combining inherited knowledge and innovative research.  To consolidate the strengths of innovative research, the School has established eight high quality theme-based Research Centres equipped with advanced equipment and facilities.  The highlighted strategic research areas in the School are (i) Precision medicine and phenomics study; (ii) Translational medicine and innovative drug discovery, and (iii) Authentication and testing of Chinese medicines.  The School of Chinese Medicine now invites applications in the following area:

Teaching and Research Division

Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (PR190/17-18)

Candidates in the area of Clinical study in Chinese medicine with clinical/biomedical/Chinese medicine background and research focus on the area are invited to the School.  Preference will be given to candidate with appealing external grant record, outstanding publication and leading potential of innovative therapeutic intervention.  

The appointee is expected to teach Chinese medicine/clinical and biomedical sciences at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, establish a vigorous research programme in the areas of interest, and develop research cluster by collaborations within and outside the School.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of three years.  Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
