Open Rank Faculty Position in Neuroscience—Alzheimer’s Disease

The Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience and Department of Neuroscience at the University of Rochester invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank whose research program offers innovative approaches to the study of Alzheimer’s Disease and related neurodegenerative dementias. As part of an ongoing expansion in Neuroscience across the University, we seek exceptional applicants to develop and grow outstanding research programs specifically focused on the neurobiology of dementia.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant, diverse community with interests spanning cellular, systems, and cognitive Neuroscience, and will contribute to teaching and mentoring at the graduate level.  PhD, MD-PhD, and MD applicants are encouraged to apply; for applicants pursuing part-time clinical activities, co-appointment in an appropriate clinical department is possible.

To apply, please provide a cover letter, CV, statement of research interests, PDFs of two or three recent publications, and (for Assistant and Associate Professor candidates) contact information for three references. For more senior candidates, reference information may be provided at a later date. Applications may be submitted using the Neuroscience email address neurosci_dept@URMC.Rochester.edu. Questions may be addressed to search co-chairs Kerry O’Banion (Kerry_OBanion@urmc.rochester.edu) and Anton Porsteinsson (Anton_Porsteinsson@URMC.Rochester.edu). Review of applications will begin February 1, 2018.

The University of Rochester, an Equal Opportunity Employer, has a strong commitment to diversity and actively encourages applications from candidates from groups underrepresented in higher education.
