Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia at the Brain Health Institute
The Rutgers Brain Health Institute (http://brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu/) is recruiting a tenure-track faculty at the Assistant Professor level who studies mechanisms related to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) or associated dementias. The ideal candidate would use modern electrophysiological, optogenetic or chemogenetic approaches to characterize changes in synaptic function in animal models that contribute to the memory or other cognitive declines observed in AD/Dementia. Applicants must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree; external research funding is also desired. In addition to a strong funded research program, quality of research and fit with other strengths at Rutgers are important considerations (see BHI website).
