Postdoctoral Fellow - Duke University School of Medicine
Postdoc fellow positions supported by NIH Funds are immediately available at Duke University School of Medicine. Membrane biologists and electrophysiologists with high motivation, creativity and independence are welcomed to apply Dr. Huanghe Yang’s research team in the Departments of Biochemistry and Neurobiology at Duke Medicine.
The Yang lab is working on understanding the biology of ion and lipid membrane transport under various physiological and pathological conditions, and developing novel approaches to treat related diseases, including but not limited to neurological, cardiovascular, hemostatic and thrombotic, immunological disorders and cancer. The projects are high-risk but high-reward. A combination of electrophysiology, cell biology, mouse models, biophysical, biochemical and state-of-art imaging techniques is employed in the lab. More information about the research and the lab can be found at https://www.biochem.duke.edu or https://sites.google.com/site/ionchannel101/.
Successful candidates must hold a PhD. or equivalent degree with expertise relevant to the research areas. Motivated and independent individuals with a demonstrated track record in patch clamping, neuroscience and hematology are preferred, but strong research experience in membrane biology, lipid biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, immunology, imaging, and other related fields will also be considered. Interested individuals should send a brief cover letter describing career goals, research experience and interests, current CV, and contact information of three references to: email@example.com.
