Open Rank Tenure/Track Faculty in Cryo-Em
The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks outstanding applicants for a Open Rank, Tenure/Tenure Track position with expertise in single particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), as applied to biomedical research. UNC is purchasing an Arctica with Gatan DED. A Krios and additional Arctica will also be available via a local consortium.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D., and/or M.D. or equivalent degree
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and collaborate in multidisciplinary, funded research programs and internationally competitive research programs.
Qualified candidates will be required to teach both at the graduate and professional levels and be be expected to establish a well-funded and internationally competitive research program. The successful candidate will also play a leading role in developing a state-of-the-art cryoEM facility at UNC.
