Post doctoral position available in stem cell biology at UCLA
Postdoctoral position available in Dr. April Pyle's laboratory at UCLA, Los Angeles CA. The Pyle lab is affiliated with the Eli and Edythe Broad Stem Cell Center and the Center for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at UCLA. Ideal candidate would have expertise in stem cells, development, skeletal muscle, CRISPR Cas9, reporters, differentiation, or mouse models of muscle disease. Research will include both translational and basic aspects of working with human pluripotent stem cells to muscle stem cells. Approaches could include but are not limited to stem cell differentiation to skeletal muscle, single cell sequencing, bioinformatics, overexpression, reprogramming, CRISPR Cas9 gene editing, generation of reporter tools, stem cell transplantation, and/or evaluation of muscle function in animal models of disease. Highly motivated individuals with a strong publication record and a rigorous training background will be considered and are encouraged to apply. UCLA provides equal opportunity employment.
