The learnings from this project would enable the pragmatic application of these tracers as translational biomarkers of drug-induced toxicities, helping to ensure patient safety.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design of in vivo and in vitro metabolic tracer studies to address specific mechanistic questions relevant to drug safety.  This may include use of emerging experimental model systems, including but not limited to genetic knock-out or knock-down models.
  • Quantification of stable labeled tracers in biological samples by LC-MS or other appropriate techniques
  • Data interpretation, manuscript preparation, publication and presentation of results
  • Contribute to a safe and compliant laboratory work environment

Education Minimum Requirement:
  • PhD with less than 3 years of Postdoctoral Experience or achieved a  PhD by Spring/Summer of  2018
 Required Experience and Skills:
  • Pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamics or metabolic flux data analysis and interpretation experience
  • LC-MS operation and method development experience
  • Strong background in biochemistry
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication and collaborative skills
 Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Mechanistic toxicology, especially the role of transporters in liver toxicology
  • Biomarker development
