The Department of Neuroscience, Cell Biology, and Physiology (NCBP) at Wright State University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. We seek an outstanding scientist with a strong record of academic accomplishments broadly in the cardiovascular and/or neuroscience disciplines. Expertise in cardiopulmonary/neural control/renal research is preferred. Scientists with experience in cellular/molecular inflammation are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a PhD, MD or equivalent degree in the biomedical sciences, and are expected to establish or continue active extramurally funded research programs and participate in teaching medical, graduate, and/or undergraduate students. Associate Professor level candidates must demonstrate active and sustained productivity as an Assistant Professor.
Faculty research programs within NCBP are funded through agencies that include the NIH, NSF, DoD, ONR, AHA and many other national or international funding agencies. Investigators are supported by a state of the art infrastructure including access to core laboratories in imaging, small animal physiology, behavior, genomics, and proteomics.
