Postdoctoral positions in the field of neural control of circulation are available for motivated researchers at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer center. The successful individuals will contribute to cutting-edge studies examining synaptic transmission, neuronal plasticity, and/or ion channel function in brain regions, as well as the involvement of glia and neuron interactions. Individuals will have the opportunity to utilize a wide range of approaches including in vivo and in vitro electrophysiology, opto- and chemo-genetics and immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, immunoblots and microinjection. The ideal applicant will have expertise in neurophysiology or cardiovascular physiology. Selected individuals will join a highly productive and interactive group of NIH-funded investigators to study neural control of the neuroendocrine and the cardiovascular system.
