Post-doc position for recent PhD grad to study mechanism of retinoid action in inducing stem cell differentiation into osteoblasts vs adipocytes. Successful candidate will study knock-out mouse with sex-specific adipocyte proliferation into bone marrow, sex-specific liver steatosis, and multiple other metabolic abnormalities. Lab relies on LC/MS/MS, confocal microscopy, RNAseq, histochemistry, differentiation of primary cells, molecular techniques, and multiple techniques to assess metabolic phenotypes. Experience preferred in one or more of above. One year position, renewable upon mutual consent. Excellent opportunity to learn or improve diverse approaches to studying differentiation, analytical techniques, and physiological assessments of autocoid effects in model animals.
