Associate Professor in Nordic Medieval Art (ref no 2017/10890)
The Museum of Cultural History promotes research of high quality and innovation, in close interaction with public outreach and the management of culture and cultural Heritage. The Department of Archaeology manages Norway's largest collection of Nordic antiquities, medieval art and runic inscriptions. In accordance with the Cultural Heritage Act the Department is also responsible for the management of cultural monuments and rock art in ten counties in southeastern Norway.
The position is twofold, where 50 % is allocated to research and 50 % is allocated to museum work (administrative tasks included). Aside from research obligations, the position will offer a variety of tasks connected to the documentation and management of the museum collections, work with exhibitions, consultancy and dissemination.
