Research Assistant , UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science (Temporary)
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant in the UCD School of Agriculture & Food Science. This is a temporary post.
The Research Assistant will undertake laboratory based research on a project entitled “Delivering processed meat products with health benefits”, funded by the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The research will be conducted at UCD's Institute of Food and Health at the Institute's food processing and analytical laboratory facilities on the Belfield campus. The overall aim of the project is to reduce “unhealthy” constituents while simultaneously increasing the level of desirable bioactive constituents in processed meat products thereby increase their “healthiness”. The successful appointee will build on a body of research work already undertaken by researchers at the Institute. Training will be provided as required.

Salary: €21,459 per annum.
