The ROCK (Regeneration and Optimization of Cultural Heritage) project is focused, in Bologna, on the Zamboni area as a potential Cultural and Creative District, but still needs to be strengthened and communicated through a specific research-action. The "circular model" underlying the project finds in the structure of the historic Italian city its source of inspiration and a privileged application area. It considers the Cultural Heritage not as a "static presence", a testimony of time-honored values and recipient of onerous support, but as the best result of the dynamic transformation actions during the time of the city. The cultural model is therefore a continuous effort to recognize the city and its transformations as a heritage and common good, alongside in a seamless flow of conservation and innovation. The goal of the research grant is to identify an operational method of enhancement as a guide to ROCK's strategy and to implement it in the active research.
