The aim of this study is to evaluate whether type I IFN signaling (total STAT1, STAT1 phosphorylated and IFN signature) correlates with disease activity in patients with active SLE and if it can also help screening on patients with a clinica! history suggestive for autoinflammatory/autoimmune disorders. Patients will be periodically evaluated, blood samples will be collected, disease activity indexes (either SLEDAI or VAS) will be calculated. pSTAT1 and IFN signature analysis will be performed at the at the Department of Clinica! and Experimental Sciences, lnstitute for Molecular Medicine "A. Nocivelli ", University of Brescia.
