Tourism plan for the city of Aosta: strategic guidelines.

The research must investigate the potential attractiveness of Aosta as a tourism destination. Aosta can exploit different elements:

- sport. The telecabine of Pila, a renown ski station, is located at the centre of Aosta, a situation unique in the Alps;

- culture. Aosta is a “roman city”, and there are many ancient monuments that witness its roman heritage. Besides historical monuments, Aosta hosts a university, which attracts students from different parts of Italy;

- food & beverage. Aosta, as happens in all the Region, has a unique repertoire of food & beverage products and receipts, which are more and more appreciated by tourists.

The research should analyze all these elements, and define how to configure them in an effective place branding strategy
