The Senior Marketing Specialist will be assigned to the Primary Care CBL (Customer Business Line) or Merck Global Vaccine CBL within the Global Human Health organization. The Global Human Health organization serves all of the markets around the world and is a world leader, developing, manufacturing and commercializing products.
The Primary Care and Vaccines Marketing groups work closely with internal groups, including Merck Research Laboratories and Merck Manufacturing Division, and external groups to understand the opportunities and challenges of an ever changing pharmaceutical market and to develop and lead the implementation of global product strategies.
Merck has a strong commitment to develop world class digital solutions and to take a leading position in the digital space. Candidates will be involved in the development and execution of the digital strategy supporting the overall product strategy.
Senior Marketing Specialist:
- Will make operational contributions to assigned area including Strategic Marketing, Brand Management, New Product Planning, and Communications Management
- Financial planning and management activities such as budget management, forecasting, and business case development
- Knowledge of internal/external challenges to improve product marketing offerings
- Solves complex problems in assigned area
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance
- Promotes teamwork and open discussion of issues
- Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements, and identifies solutions
- Currently enrolled in a program leading to a Master in Business Administration with a Graduate date of June 2018
- A minimum of 1 plus years of professional work/internship experience
