How will you invent the future?

As one of our Digital Marketing & Channels Developers at Merck’s Austin IT HUB, you will be part of inventing tomorrow. Our Innovative centers are where great people come together and deliver solutions that save and improve lives. We are seeking motivated talent interested in solving problems to improve tomorrow.


You will:




  • Join a team of Developers and Solutions Architects focused on building and evolving our Digital Marketing & Channels ecosystem


  • Deliver innovative, quality and cost effective solutions to our Commercial organization


  • Work with colleagues across the globe to support and enable our Digital Strategy and Transformation journey


  • Propose, prototype and evaluate areas of optimization for marketing applications


  • Drive continuous improvement of the Digital Marketing technology platform

You will work and learn more about:




  • Pharmaceutical business


  • The role of Digital in Pharma and Healthcare


  • Working globally across our market and hub network
Qualifications

Education:




  • Bachelors Degree or higher in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Required:




  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, preferably within a commercial environment


  • Fluent in multiple Web Systems technologies: Java/J2EE, Web application servers,


  • Portlets, Spring, SOA, REST Services, Databases, LDAP, Security, system integration, CSS, HTML, PHP, Javascript, .NET, eCommerce


  • Web Development within Web Content Management Systems (preferably SDL Tridion)


  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:




  • Experience with Agile Development Principles


  • Experience with SDLC Processes


  • Experience in a Healthcare or similar environment


  • UX/UI experience


  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement
