Merck Research Lab is currently recruiting for a Summer Intern within the Clinical Outcome Assessment team that falls
within the Global Data Management & Standards Department (GDMS). The GDMS
unit is responsible for delivering quality clinical data and safety
reports for optimal analysis and reporting on the efficacy and safety of our
products, Support effective decision-making and information sharing for
patients, prescribers and regulatory agencies and implementing high-quality
enabling technology systems and tools to support critical business processes
across Clinical Development.
Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs)
measure a patient’s symptoms, overall mental state, or the effects of a
disease or condition on how the patient functions. The Clinical Outcome Assessment team
is responsible for providing end-to-end IRT & COA systems project
management support including, but not limited to, gathering study-specific
user requirements, may execute UAT tasks, managing project timelines,
managing and enforcing IRT & COA systems Standards. IRT & COA Specialist
also monitors system change requests and acts as Merck’s IRT & COA
systems subject matter expert while liaising with external vendors.
Candidates must be currently pursuing a B.A.or B.S.degree in the life sciences, computer science, engineering or a related discipline.
