How will you invent the future?



As a Technical Analyst – Manufacturing Process Intelligence at Merck’s Austin IT HUB, you will be part of inventing tomorrow. Our Innovative centers are where great people come together and deliver solutions that save and improve lives.
We are seeking motivated talent interested in solving problems to improve tomorrow.


You will:




  • Improve efficiency and quality and reduce costs of our manufactured products.


  • Work within the Merck Manufacturing IT organization and with partners to architect and implement process intelligence solutions (OSIsoft PI toolset) on the manufacturing shop floor.


  • Ensure operational integrity of process intelligence solutions and manage the solution life cycle.


  • Develop an understanding of our customer facing team’s requirements and ensure our solutions deliver immediate and long term capabilities.


  • Operate as part of our Process Intelligence Center of Excellence (CoE).


  • Develop best practice recommendations and author standards.


  • Keep abreast of new technologies, methodologies, industry practices and standards.
Qualifications

Education:



  • BA/BS in software engineering, computer science or related field.

 


Required:



  • Strong analytical thinker and problem solving skills with a strong understanding of manufacturing process intelligence.

  • Motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix work environment.

  • Experience with change and communications management.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience configuring/implementing manufacturing process intelligence tools (OSIsoft PI, PI Asset Framework, etc.)

 


Preferred Experience:



  • Familiarity with laws, rules and regulations applicable to the Pharma industry or other regulated industry experience.

  • Analytical thinker demonstrating experience in optimizing manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Experienced in creating and reviewing GMP SDLC documentation.

  • Superior written, listening, communication and influencing skills.

  • The ability to advocate new ideas, even when risks are involved.
