Under the direction of MCAAS’ senior management: 




  • By entering into the Finance Rotational Program, candidates will have access to information, product knowledge, and tools, including data analytics, which will enable them to demonstrate expertise in the areas of internal controls, business compliance and risk management. In addition, candidates will serve as subject matter experts to the business. 


  • Participate in the Company’s ongoing professional development through diverse experiences and world-class learning's, 


  • Participate in the Company’s mentorship programs, 


  • Participate in the planning and execution of financial, operational, SOX 404 and IT audits, integrated audits and process audits, both domestic and abroad to maintain a strong internal control environment at Merck, 


  • Partner with colleagues and clients, support groups, and other organizations to effectively complete all assigned work, 


  • Execute audit programs and work papers (including walkthroughs and sample testing) in line with the established quality standards and timelines,


  • Collaborate with the team in the writing of issues and reports which accurately describe identified control concerns, associated risks, and appropriate recommendations. 


  • Participate in department projects and ensure the realization of the specified results, 


  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and independence in the execution of duties with the highest level of integrity and quality. Show good judgment in the conduct of work, 


  • Candidates will have oversight over business processes and will have the opportunity to provide coaching to guest auditors and consultants
Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement: 




  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS or MA/MS program in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Analytics to be completed by June 2018

  • Ability to exercise judgment in the execution and application of assessing risks 


  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously and within a team


  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential to this position. 


  • Understanding of information technology and ability to use various applications and systems 


  • Demonstrates integrity within a professional work environment 


  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time

Preferred Experience and Skills: 




  • Previous internship or work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Analytics 


  • GPA of 3.3 or above
