Direct Parts MRP Controller is responsible for purchasing raw materials and components to support pharmaceuticals manufacturing operations at the Elkton Site.

The position will be required to analyze information in MRP system to maintain proper inventories and avoid expiry and discard of materials. The position will work directly with suppliers and global procurement to minimize any interruptions in the delivery schedule and communication concerns and information utilizing the manufacturing tier process


The position will manage the following:

  • Vendor Notifications

  • SAP Master Data for creation and changes

  • Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV) and discards initiation

  • Logistic and warehouse interactions

  • Order placement to Vendor

  • Manage inventory levels

  • Invoicing and payment troubleshooting issues

  • Return to Vendor

  • Inventory analysis


  • Bachelors degree


  • 3 years relevant experience using MRP and/or SAP

  • 3 years relevant of purchasing experience

  • 3 years working in manufacturing setting

  • 3 years working with Supply Chains/ Vendor Management

  • Ability to work in a high volume setting with tight deadlines

  • Solid oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Project Management


  • 5 years of direct MRP and/or SAP experience

  • 5 years of purchasing experience

  • 5 years of working in manufacturing setting

  • Knowledge and experience with inventory reconciliation process

  • Highly organized and detailed oriented

  • Change Control

  • Lean Manufacturing
