Cancer Biology Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

The Henry Ford Health System, Department of Urology, is seeking a highly-motivated, energetic post-doctoral research fellow to work on a novel mechanism of cancer cell survival in a modern, state of the art working facility. This post-doctoral position is available immediately to study cancer cell survival signaling, oncogene regulation, and developmental therapeutics using prostate and pancreatic cancer as models. The successful candidate is expected to apply biochemical and molecular biology techniques (Western blot, RT-PCR, IHC, gene expression) to investigate the role of 5-lipoxygenase in the development and progression of cancer using cell culture as well as various orthotopic, transgenic and patient-derived xenograft models. Preference will be given to candidates having extensive experience in signal transduction research and handling small animals for therapeutic development. Qualified candidates please respond by sending a comprehensive CV with names and contacts of three referees to Dr. J. Ghosh, Department of Urology, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, MI 48202 (E-mail:  jghosh1@hfhs.org).
