As part of the Global Data
Management and Standards organization, the Clinical Data Management, Early
Development (EDEV) co-operative position will expose the student to both a deep
dive into the discipline of Data Management and to the various other professions
involved with Clinical Development.
Clinical Data Management is the practice of defining, designing,
implementing, investigating, cleaning and ensuring that data collected in the
conduct of a clinical research trial adheres to global regulatory and legal
standards, and satisfies analysis and reporting requirements.

The position is for a six-month
co-op opportunity within EDEV. During
this time the student will participate in projects which will strengthen the
student’s skills in teamwork, collaboration, and leadership, along with project
management and technical skills. Duties
may include participation in:

- Process
Improvement initiatives.
- Application
development and programming.
- Data
review and querying.

Qualifications

Education:

- Required: Candidates
must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree
program, in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or
similar major.
- Candidates
must be returning to school following the completion of the co-op
assignment to complete credit requirements for graduation.
- Candidates
must have completed at least two (2) full years of an undergraduate degree
prior to the start of this co-op position.

Required
Experience:

- Candidates
must be available to work full-time for up to 6 months beginning in June of
2018
- Candidates
must have a demonstrated record of strong academic achievement, with a GPA
of 3.0 or higher.
- The
preferred worksite location is West Point, PA, but candidates will also be
considered for the Rahway, NJ worksite.

Preferred
Experience:

- Computer
literacy including basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word,
Excel, PowerPoint) or with Google equivalents (Gmail, Docs, Sheets,
Slides).
- Candidates
should have superior communication and interpersonal skills, have a
problem-solving mentality, and be comfortable as a team player with the ability
to work independently.
- Experience
in basic programming skills
