We are inviting applications for a project researcher position in high energy density storage (metal-air) technology
You will be part of a team developing theoretical knowledge and computational models to understand high energy density metal-air storage technology. We will be building system dynamics simulation tools which requires strong programming skills using Python / Matlab / other computational tools. This position demands a good understanding of electrochemistry of battery or fuel cell systems. Prior experience in modelling and simulation is a great asset. We are looking for a quick learner and doer who has a passion for excellence in research and development. You have master degree in electrochemistry, material science, computational chemistry, physics, engineering or related areas. You have strong interest and/or experience in one or many of the following topics: electrochemistry, fuel cells, computational science. You have experience in setting up laboratory experiments and hands-on experience through earlier projects. You have the ability to build things and work in a research laboratory. You will be continuously supporting the development of various project proposals attracting new funding opportunities. The support in supervision of theses is also included in your tasks. Strong written & spoken English language skill are mandatory.
The salary will be based on both the job demands and the employee's personal performance in accordance with the University Salary System. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff this position is placed on the job demands levels 2-4. The position is planned for a fixed term of 2 years.
Trial period of four months applies.
The candidate is expected to start in November 2017, or at earliest possible date mutually agreed between both parties.
