The LIFE AGROWETLANDS II Project aims to develop an optimal irrigation management system in areas with salinization problems. The project is performed in five farms of the Agrisfera Cooperative, located in the province of Ravenna, between the River Reno and the River Lamone.

The research grant holder will participate in the realization of the SMART-AGROWETLANDS II system, modelling the water demand of crops, such as corn and sorghum, in their various phenological phases. He/she will analyse the series of measures recorded by the WSN network sensors to reach an initial assessment of the input / output of salts in the study area, in order to elaborate the corresponding irrigation indications.
