The metabolic regulation of copper in living cell will be studied via the application of QM/MM and classical molecular dynamics simulations to characterize the interactions between Cu and Atox1, ATP7b and Ctr1, proteins, which are involved in Cu transport within the cell and whose dysfunctions are associated to Menkes' and Wilson's diseases. The calculations will be performed as support and complement of the experimental data provided by Dr. Dr. Ruthstein's Lab, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel
