People Management

- Leads Maintenance team for the Varicella/MMR End 2 End Focus Factory, including associate directors, coaches, technicians and engineers (50-70 people)
- Serves a leadership team member for Varicella/MMR End 2 End Focus Factory
- Coaches/mentors direct reports responsible for each area within the Focus Factory
Financial Management

- Responsible for the Maintenance cost center within the Varicella/MMR End 2 End Focus Factory, including creating and managing all profit plans and forecasts throughout the year
Project Management

- Responsible for all major equipment related projects, including funding, change control and equipment qualification
- Responsible for obtaining bids, reviewing contracts, supervising, and providing follows-up on contract work including the auditing of time and material reports
Shutdown Management

- Responsible for all VBF/VMF master shutdown schedules and shutdown execution including all maintenance, calibration, capital project work, and GMP Cleaning coordination for all facility shutdowns
- Coordinates with Site Engineering and Technical CoE
- Attends daily shutdown meetings ensuring activities are tracked and completed
Production Equipment Support

- Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of all production equipment
- Responsible for the daily support of all production equipment to ensure area safety, compliance, production and financial goals are met
- Responsible for spare parts risk-based assessments and identification of new parts to replace obsolescent parts to ensure correct type and number of spare parts are available for all production equipment.
- Responsible for establishing processes that ensure required Safety guidelines are followed and participates in divisional Safety Audit activities
- Manages equipment location and status in SAP as well as related equipment drawings.
- Assists in deviation investigations for maintenance instruments, equipment, and systems.
- Collaborates with the Technical CoE reliability engineers to conduct periodic RBAM assessments and own area specific reliability actions
- Collaborates with Automation for troubleshooting equipment, including robots (VBF) and isolators, lyophilizers (VMF)
- Collaborates with equipment vendors
- Monitors calibration, maintenance, and equipment/utilities operations performance by analyzing completed work orders with an emphasis on reducing reactive work and increasing reliability.
- Maintains the integrity of equipment identification and specification data within the computerized calibration and maintenance management system.
- Identifies revisions, deletions, or additions to the calibration and maintenance programs to ensure that calibration and maintenance activities are completed in accordance with established safety, GMP, and calibration/maintenance procedures.



- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering, Science or related field

- Minimum twelve (12) years’ experience in a production and/or calibration and/or maintenance background – OR – Ten (10) years with a Master’s or MBA Degree – OR – eight (8) years with a PhD
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience managing direct reports
- Experience with GMP compliant calibration and maintenance databases
- SAP experience related to plant maintenance and spare parts procurement systems
- Strong planning, scheduling, and time management skills
- Working knowledge regulatory requirements in accordance with GMP manufacturing operations
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Project management, including change control and equipment qualification

- Four (4) years’ experience managing direct reports
- Microsoft Project and/or Orchestrate experience
- Six Sigma green belt and/or black belt certification
