Assistant Professor, Integrative Plant Biology
The Department of Biology at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor position in Integrative Plant Biology anticipated to begin August 2018. We seek a colleague who will develop a high-quality research program in plant biology. All areas of plant biology will be considered, including plant physiology, molecular systematics, evolutionary biology, or population, community or landscape ecology, in terrestrial or aquatic environments. Applicants must have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in a biological science and appropriate postdoctoral training. Successful candidates must have a demonstrated ability or strong potential to establish and maintain a vigorous, extramurally funded research program, facilitate collaborations, and complement departmental strengths. They will be expected to contribute to teaching and mentoring students in our undergraduate and graduate programs, including our new undergraduate plant science track.
