The general objective of optiTruck is to further improve energy efficiency by at least 20% on HDV Euro V I (40t). To achieve this, optiTn1ck will develop a global optimizer that combines the most advanced intelligent drive and intelligent control technologies with a number of innovative and complementary elements to maximize the potential use of individual innovations. The purpose of the researcher's quest will be to build a cloud based system to specify and optimize transport emissions and routes based on vehicle specific variables (eg weight. loads. vehicle configuration, etc.). The system will also provide data for pre-trip planning and calibration and control of the powertrain system emissions during driving.
