New approaches to TB diagnosis
Tubercolosis is still a widespread disease - especially in developèing countries, where one of the major problems is the underestiamtion of diagnosis. TB is quite frequent as HIV/AIDS coinfection (around 30%) and presents, in that context an even stronger problem of diagnosis. It is therefore intended to investigate on alternative tests that can integrate both symtoms based questionnaires and PCR tests (GeneExpert) currently in use.
