Associate Professor /Professor position in Water Resources Science and Technology
Texas A&M University–San Antonio invites applications for a faculty position in Water Resources Science and Technology (WateRST). Rank will be Associate Professor or Professor depending on qualifications and experience. The University will begin offering a Master’s program in WateRST in Fall 2018. A Bachelor’s program has also been planned. All areas of specialization related to human uses of water will be considered. Preferred areas are water quality management, hydrology, hydroinformatics, nexus of water-food-energy, remote sensing applications to water resources management, storm water pollution prevention, and water conservation. This position will take lead responsibility for administration and support of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in WateRST, as well as course development at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Securing extramural funding (grants and contracts), development of collaborative research and outreach relationships with the Texas A&M University System agencies, local river water authorities, and the municipal water systems is required. Assistance in administering the university’s Institute for Water Resources Science and Technology in its research, education, and outreach missions is expected. Teaching workload will be 2/2.
