Fixed Term contract until 31 January 2019

£23,837 to £27,304 per annum, with additional performance related pay up to £32,094 per annum (Research Assistant) or

£32,094 per annum (Research Fellow)

You will join a research team working on an EPSRC funded project entitled “Redefining power generation from carbonaceous fuels with carbonate looping combustion and gasification technologies” that aims to develop, and assess the feasibility of, novel concepts for high-efficiency low-emission power generation based on the carbonate looping process.

You will have a PhD (or be close to completion) in Carbon Capture & Storage, Power Engineering, Energy, or related discipline. You must have extensive experience in conducting techno-economic feasibility assessment of power generation systems, be fluent in process modelling using commercial software (eg. Aspen Plus, Ebsilon Pro, Gate Cycle) or in-house software, and be able to develop new ones. You must have also demonstrated a strong track record via publications in high-quality journals.

Due to the requirement to travel nationally and internationally for conferences, client meetings etc., you should have no travel restrictions.
