Conservation of archeological heritage in Quang Nam province - Vietnam
The province of Quang Nam in Vietnam is characterized by a rich archaeological heritage dated back to the Cham culture. This heritage has been subjected to restoration interventions not always compatible with material and historical properties of the relics.
The research aims to define more compatible conservation techniques; these methodologies should be non-invasive and durable in relation with the peculiarities of the place in which the artefacts are set.
The activation of a pilot construction site in the archaeological site of My Son will allow the definition of the best intervention techniques, in order to transfer the results in guidelines that could help local specialists by following the most advanced knowledge in the field of conservation.
