This is an exploratory pilot observational study. The study will enroll 180 consecutive elderly patients equally distributed into the 3 frailty categories. 60 “not-frail”, 60 “pre-frail” and 60 “frail” patients with non valvular atrial fibrillation will be prospectively followed up. A predefined outcome event (ischemic stroke, major bleeding, mortality and clinically relevant non major bleeding) will be registered during a 2 years period. Patients identified as “not-frail” “pre-frail” or “frail” by the SHARE-FI score
