Pathophysiology clinical events and treatment in antiphospholipid syndrome
Antiphospholipid syndrome is a clinical entity characterized by thrombosis in the venous and arterial circulation and pregnancy morbidity in the presence of antiphospholipid (aPL) antibodies. In the consensus paper, the classification categories according to the positivity of one or more aPL tests (I, IIa,IIb,IIc) was aimed to advice investigators to perform studies in homogeneous patients population. Aim of this study id to identify high risk patients (triple positive) and reenroll them into a randomized trial comparing the efficacy and safety of a direct oral anticoagulant versus warfarin.
