1st Research Assistant 100%
The Department of Integrative Medical Biology, Medical Faculty, Umeå University seeks a 1st Research Assistant 100% within ongoing research projects in regenerative medicine with focus on bone and fat regeneration.
The position involves work with cells (predominantly mesenchymal stem cells, MSC) and biomaterials, mainly using in vitro models. The goal of the project is to study in vitro models in 3D utilising clinically relevant MSCs in combination with biomaterials suited for bone- and fat regeneration. The applicant will be expected to contribute to ongoing projects and will be encouraged to actively develop new lines of research in the field.
Eligible to apply are individuals with a Swedish PhD or equivalent international PhD. The fellow must have a PhD in a relevant area such as stem cells biology or tissue engineering and have substantial technical expertise in laboratory work, cell culture, molecular biology and method development.
Furthermore, experience in surgery on small animals, immunohistochemistry and cell culture are required.
Prior experience of biochemical analysis methods and knowledge in 3D-printing technology are of merits.
The successful candidate will be proficient in spoken English and have prior experience of writing reports/manuscripts in English.
